COVERAGE QUEST · UPDATED OCTOBER 4, 2026

Privacy policy

Contact first or full intake

You can send just your insurance need, name, contact details and personal follow-up permission. This creates a request for the licensed agent without collecting a DOB, address or VIN. A private seven-day link lets you add details to that same request later. Added details are sent only when you choose to submit them.

What we collect

We only ask for what an agent needs to prepare a quote request. Depending on the answers you choose to give, this can include:

  • Household drivers: names, dates of birth, license status, and optionally the license state and years licensed.
  • Home: dwelling type, whether you own or rent, your street address, city, ZIP code, and optional property details.
  • Vehicles: year, make, model, and optional trim and VIN.
  • Optional follow-up details: policy information you previously shared or that your agent requests later. Current coverage is not required to send an initial request.
  • Contact details and permissions: your name, email, phone number, preferred contact method and time, and the follow-up permissions you check.
  • Game choices: the character and vehicle styles you pick. These are cosmetic and never affect a quote.

We never ask for Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, payment details, or credit scores. Please do not type them into notes or free-text answers. No credit check is run by this site.

How we use it

  • To prepare and deliver your quote request to the licensed insurance agent and agency you are sending it to, and to let them follow up the way you permitted.
  • To keep a record of the permissions you gave us, including the date, time, and the wording you agreed to.
  • To help find and check your street address while you enter it. Your agent confirms any details that could not be checked.
  • To count journey steps on our own site using a random session identifier and referral source, so we can see which steps work. These first-party counts never include your intake answers, are not shared with anyone, and are switched off automatically when your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising to you.

Who receives your information

  • Michael Obiselu, the licensed insurance agent, and the agency team. Your completed request is stored in a protected workdesk that only the agency team can open with a private key. The agent may enter your details into the carrier’s approved quoting systems to prepare a quote.
  • Google Maps address services. As you type, your address search text is sent to Google for suggestions. When you select or finish entering an address, only its street address, city, state, and ZIP code are sent to Google Address Validation to check it. No other answers are shared with Google. You may enter the address manually and continue if the service is unavailable.
  • NHTSA (U.S. Department of Transportation). If you look up a VIN or choose a vehicle model, only the VIN or the year and make are sent to the NHTSA vehicle database to identify the vehicle.
  • Email delivery provider. When a request arrives, the agency receives an email alert. The alert contains no customer insurance information, only a notice to open the workdesk.
  • Hosting provider. The site and its database run on Cloudflare infrastructure in the United States.
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertising measurement. If you choose Accept ad measurement and advertising measurement is enabled, the site uses the Meta pixel and Meta’s Conversions API to measure public page visits, started requests, and successfully submitted requests. Matching fields may include hashed name, email, phone, ZIP, state, country, and an internal lead identifier, plus browser identifiers, IP address, and user agent. Hashing does not make this information anonymous. Insurance answers, policy purchases, premiums, and quote results are not sent to Meta. You can opt out of Meta ad measurement in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings, and the pixel never loads if you choose Essential only or your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.

Browser storage and analytics choices

Essential browser storage saves your draft so you can return to it. First-party step counts run on our own site unless your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal; question events never include your answers. When you explicitly submit, we associate the first-party session and chosen intake route with your request to measure completion and exclude tester traffic. These identifiers are pseudonymous, not anonymous. The agency may record preparation time and request outcomes for internal reporting. Advertising measurement (the Meta pixel, when our ads are running) is off until you choose Accept ad measurement. Use Privacy choices in the footer to accept or decline at any time. Declining or withdrawing consent cancels queued Meta events and clears stored campaign attribution for this browser session. It cannot recall events already delivered.

Saving progress on this device and private links

While you work through the questions, your answers are saved in your own browser on this device so that leaving the page does not erase them. They are removed automatically after seven days, when you send your request, or when you choose Start over. If you use Save and finish later, your draft is stored on our server and reachable only through the private link you receive. Anyone with that link can open the draft, so keep it private. Saved drafts expire seven days after they are created.

How long we keep it

A sent quote request stays in the agency workdesk while the agent works on it and for the period the agency needs to document its service and comply with insurance record-keeping rules. You can ask us to delete your request at any time using the contact page. Deleting a request removes it and its related notes, private links, and alerts from the workdesk.

Your choices

  • You can stop before sending. Nothing is delivered to the agency until you choose to send your request.
  • Follow-up permission is opt-in. The personal follow-up box, the text-message box, and the express-consent box for automated calls or texts are unchecked until you check them. You can withdraw any of these permissions by contacting us, or by replying STOP to a text.
  • You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about your request.

Security

Requests are stored in a database that only the agency can reach with a private access key. Private links use random tokens that are stored only as hashes. Please keep any private link or confirmation reference to yourself.

Children

Coverage Quest is intended for adults arranging insurance for their household. Do not use this site if you are under 18. Household drivers under 18 may be listed by a parent or guardian.

Changes and contact

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. Questions, corrections, or deletion requests go to guide@coveragequesttx.com or through the contact page.

Advertising measurement records

A seven-day first-party session cookie connects your privacy choice to a submitted request. We record the choice, time, and wording version. After acceptance, campaign parameters and referring website names can be recorded as first and last touch for internal reporting. Withdrawal clears those campaign records for the session. Pending conversion payloads are cleared after delivery or cancellation; events older than 24 hours are not sent and their payloads are cleared during scheduled maintenance. Delivery receipts and consent records remain linked to the request for audit purposes.
